This is my contribution to The Shadow Challenge at DPW posted by Laurie Miller .
Laurie wrote: "Shadows can be really fun to paint. Find a subject with a dramatic shadow and make be sure to make the shadow an important part of your composition."
These challenges are exactly that! Really new subject matter for me which I really enjoyed once I was into it.
I enjoyed the contrast between the cool shadows ant the warm stucco wall. I used the painting knife to provide the impasto of the wall.
