Shady Characters #2-Flamingos

This is my contribution to The Seeing Double Challenge at DPW posted by the extraordinary artist, Kimberly Santini .
She instructed: Using the same reference, create two paintings, each unique in scale (for example, a 5x7 and an 8x10).
This 6x6 painting was made from the same reference that was used for Friday's post of the 5x7 flamingos. I think this one really accentuates the abstract qualities.
I have used this idea a few times in the past...making a painting from a close up crop of a previous painting.
