HUMMING A NEW SONG BY ELIZABETH BLAYLOCK

8 X 10 OIL ON CANVAS
Hummingbirds are such fascinating little birds.  This one was in the crepe myrtle tree outside my sunroom window.  Hummingbirds are the tiniest birds on earth.   I always thought they sipped nectar up through that long beak, but I read that they lap up the nectar with their skinny little  tongues.
