My favorite part of my recent trip to Italy was the time I spent in the magical town of Cortona. I took hundreds of photos of architecture, especially the WALLS while in Italy.
I have three series of painting planned from the trip and this is the second piece in the mixed media series "The Walls of Italy".
The "Walls of Italy " is a brand new series inspired by photos I took of the walls and architecture on my recent trip to Italy, more specifically in the town of Cortona. This painting also represents the oldest part of town where the outer walls of the buildings were dilapidated- and many years/layers were exposed. These buildings were all occupied, and our guide assured us that the insides had been beautifully renovated, and decorated.
