This is a thumb-box painting of Stowe, Vermont on a typically beautiful partly-cloudy afternoon. The scene is near downtown off of the bike path, looking toward Mount Mansfield. The painting is abstract in a sense, it is a painting of pure nature, my objective was the color and the sense of depth and space as the trees give way to distance and eventually the mountain going back many miles.
