Iris In Bloom
6" by 6" original oil on wrap around canvas with sides painted.
This piece was done with both brush and palette knife and I like the combination of the more delicate work on the bloom and the texture surrounding it from the knife work. I am pleased with the new paint color I used from a line caled Charvin paints that comes from France. It is very buttery and had good pigment quality It was a delight to paint and as many of my favorite pieces are....a last minute decision to do today late in my day in the studio.
