Apple Polka Dot, 13006
Oil on Ampersand Gessobord 6x6 In.
$75
Several
of the artists in the Leslie Saeta 30 paintings in 30 days are painting
with a theme and I guess mine might me "Things I've always wanted to
paint" and to experiment with. This was done with water soluble oils and
I've wanted to paint with them. Here is one book in my library I like
on this medium, Mary Deutchman "Watersoluble Oils" and I'll share other
books during this challenge. This original oil is painted from my own cup
and Gala apple.
I've
come up with a way for drying the oil paintings with a cardboard tower
and individual applesauce cups as the cornerstones. I've cut about 15"
squares of cardboard, place a painting or two on the cardboard, put my
cups bottom up at the 4 corners for spacers, add another layer of
cardboard, etc. Many painters have drying shelves but no time for that
so I'm building a little tower with mine. I might post a photo tomorrow
of it.
